What is the origin of Sanatan Dharma ?
Sanatana Dharma, also known as Hinduism, is one of the oldest religions in the world and its origin can be traced back to ancient India. The term "Sanatana" means eternal or timeless, while "Dharma" refers to the natural law or way of life.
The precise origins of Sanatana Dharma are difficult to determine, as it evolved over a long period of time and has no single founder or central text. However, the Vedas, a collection of ancient scriptures written in Sanskrit, are considered to be the primary source of Hinduism and date back to around 1500-1000 BCE. The Vedas contain hymns, prayers, and rituals that were passed down orally from generation to generation before being written down.
Over time, Hinduism incorporated new beliefs and practices from various cultures and religions, resulting in a diverse set of traditions and customs. Despite its diversity, Sanatana Dharma is united by its belief in the interconnectedness of all things and the ultimate goal of achieving spiritual liberation or moksha.
